The titanium system uses a central and two side mufflers, with stainless-steel link pipes and carbon-fibre/titanium tailpipes. Akrapovič reports test gains of 11.6 kW and 17.9 Nm at 6,150 rpm, with a 10.4 kg weight reduction, under its stated test conditions.
Fitment and approval notes
- The stainless-steel Link Pipe Set L-AU/SS/8/1 is a mandatory separate product for this system due to packaging requirements.
- If combined with the Downpipe / Link Pipe Set, L-AU/SS/8/1 is not required; the manufacturer states that configuration is not ECE type-approved and requires ECU remapping.
- ECE type approval is valid only for cars equipped with an Otto/gasoline particulate filter. Installing the Akrapovič Sound Kit invalidates ECE type approval.
- The system is compatible with the original Audi trailer hitch.
