A set of wide-base tires is always an investment in increased driving safety and dynamics. To maintain driving comfort when using larger wheel dimensions, we at AC Schnitzer have actively opted against run-flat tires and opted for sporty, conventional tires. Conventional tires create less rolling resistance and offer noticeably more comfort. AC Schnitzer specializes in mixed tyre configurations, meaning wheel sets where the rear wheels are wider than the front wheels. This makes sense in terms of driving dynamics, as it allows for the transfer of strong drive forces while simultaneously enabling high steering precision. While the wider a tire, the more power you can deliver to the road, the rolling resistance caused by the tyre must not be too great.
